Welcome to the Summer Academy of Music, Singing and Dance, a path to excellence in Nice, French Riviera

Created in 1957, the International Summer Academy of Nice is one of the oldest academies in Europe. Nearly 50,000 students from more than 50 countries have come to improve their skills with the greatest pedagogues, in Nice, capital of the French Riviera, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

The Academy organizes the "Nice Classic Festival", a series of concerts in the magnificent setting of the Cimiez Monastery Cloister. Students can attend all the concerts and perform on stage — an unmissable event in the life of a musician!

The International Summer Academy of Nice is presided by Marie-Josèphe JUDE, Concert Pianist, Professor at the CNSMD of Paris and Artistic Director of the Nice Classic Festival - Knight of the Legion of Honour (2021)

Tradition

For over 60 years, the International Summer Academy of Nice has been an important institution in the French and international musical landscape, as evidenced by the reach of its actions: high-level teaching and support for young musicians destined to become tomorrow's musicians, the organization of the "Nice Classic Festival", prestigious concerts particularly in the unique and magical setting of the Renaissance Monastery Cloister of Cimiez in Nice. Through its history, its renowned teachers and soloists, its international influence, the Summer Academy has become an essential event serving musicians and artists.
