The Academy

Tradition, Excellence, Innovation

Created in 1957, the Nice International Summer Academy is one of the oldest academies in the world.

Some 50,000 students of over 50 nationalities have already come to hone their skills with the greatest professors in Nice, the capital of the Côte d’Azur and one of the most prized tourist destinations in the world.

Nice Classic Live, the music festival associated with the Academy, allows students to enjoy the concert experience under the best conditions. They can also attend all the festival’s concerts, both those by guest artists and by their Masters.

::: THE ACADEMY LAB

In 2020, the Academy hosted online Master Classes, thanks to an incredible new technology. The YAMAHA Disklavier piano allows for remote listening with great acoustic fidelity. This was a world first for a Music Academy within a conservatory, with interaction between two distant locations thousands of kilometers apart, and a European first with its global format.
