Description

Lorraine Nubar has been a faculty member of the Juilliard School (New York) since 1978. She was the first American teacher at the CNSMD in Paris, where she prepared singers for the Paris Opera and the Lyon Opera. She has taught master classes at Acantos, the Royaumont Foundation, and the Nice International Summer Academy. Her articles have been published in Opera News. Lorraine Nubar has served on the jury of the Young Concert Artists Annual Competition and competitions in Paris and Marseille. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Juilliard School in New York, where she studied and assisted Jennie Tourel. She also studied and taught at the Aspen Music Festival. She studied with William Vennard, Daniel Ferro, Martial Singher, and Frank Corsaro in the United States. Additionally, she studied in Europe with Gerard Souzay, Elly Ameling, Jeanine Reiss, and Dalton Baldwin. Lorraine Nubar’s international career has always been dedicated to performance and teaching. In the United States, France, Sweden, Japan, and beyond, her expressive voice and communicative power have always been appreciated.
