General Terms and Conditions

This document is a courtesy translation. Only the French version of these General Terms and Conditions is legally binding.

Courses are tailored to the development of intermediate and advanced students, with no age limit. They allow preparation for international competitions as well as entry into higher conservatories of music and major universities. Passionate high-level amateurs may also participate in the programme.

From Monday, starting at 8:30 AM, participants must go to the Academy office located in the reception hall of the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Nice (CRR), 127 avenue de Brancolar, with their registration and payment receipts. In case of dispute, only these documents shall be considered valid.

No student will be admitted to the programme without having paid the full cost.

Master Class

Included are registration fees, tuition with the teacher (subject to acceptance of the application), a minimum of 4 lessons during the session, access to individual practice studios (minimum 3 hours per day), an accompanist for non-pianists (2 hours per session), participation in a student concert selected by the teacher, the opportunity to attend all classes (with teachers' consent), free access to all festival concerts, lunches and afternoon snacks at the conservatory from Monday to Saturday.

Meals

Lunch is included in the Master Class registration fees for 6 days from Monday, except for dancers (lunches are optional). Breakfast and dinner are included in accommodation packages from your arrival on Sunday evening.

Lunches and afternoon snacks from Monday to Saturday. Available as an additional service for dancers.

Dinner Package

Dinners and breakfasts from Monday to Saturday. Available as an additional service for non-residents.

Options

Several options are available to enrich your experience within the Academy. Discover all possibilities on our website.

Register directly online on our website. The registration deadline is June 30.

  • Registration confirmation will be sent exclusively by email. Please make sure to provide a valid email address.
  • Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • After June 30, the Academy does not guarantee the student's choice of teacher.
  • Once the programme has started, it is no longer possible to change teachers. However, the student may add one or more additional lessons.
If the student's level proves insufficient, the teacher may reclassify them as an approved auditor. The participant will then only owe the Approved Auditor rate and will be refunded the difference.

Payments are made through the secure HelloAsso platform, which acts as a payment service provider for the Academy. HelloAsso's terms of use also apply. Payment must accompany registration.

Payment Terms

1) Master Class and Enhanced Programme

Payment in three instalments is possible for any registration made before May 1. The first instalment is due immediately, by credit card only. From May 1 onwards, payment must be made in a single instalment, by credit card.

2) Dance, options, accommodation, meals added after registration

Payment must be made in full, immediately and by credit card only. The application is processed upon payment validation.

No registration will be recorded in case of payment failure.
Accepted Payment Methods
  1. Credit card via secure website
  2. Bank transfer, indicating exclusively the payment reference provided by the Academy.
All bank transfers must bear the mention 'No charges for the beneficiary'. Should bank charges be debited to the Académie Internationale d'Été de Nice, the participants concerned will be required to reimburse them upon arrival in Nice. Applications with bank transfer payment have longer processing times.

In case of cancellation by a registered participant before June 30, the Académie Internationale d'Été de Nice will only accept refunds upon presentation of a medical certificate or irrefutable proof of the impossibility for the person to attend.

In all cases, a deposit of 190 EUR is non-refundable.

After June 30, any stay that is cancelled, interrupted or shortened by the student will not give rise to any refund or postponement. Fees paid are systematically retained by AIEN, except in cases of force majeure. No refund will be issued.

Options are final at the time of registration and non-refundable as the Academy must secure these options with third parties.

The Academy reserves the right, in the event of external circumstances beyond its control, unavailability of one or more teachers, or insufficient participants, to cancel all or part of the programme. Amounts paid will then be refunded, excluding any compensation. Participants leaving the programme without valid reason will not be entitled to any refund. This also applies to options, accommodation and meals.

  • Although the Académie Internationale d'Été de Nice has taken all necessary measures to insure its participants throughout the session (within French territory), it is recommended to take out insurance for instruments and personal belongings.
  • Minors must be accompanied by a responsible parent or legal guardian. Otherwise, the signature of one or the other is mandatory, and a declaration releasing the Academy from all liability must be provided upon registration. In all cases, minor students must report their presence at the registration office during online registration (proof of date of birth / ID will be required).
  • By registering with the Académie Internationale d'Été de Nice, the student authorises the recording of their image and performances as an artist-performer in the usual context of the Academy (classes, auditions and concerts) for the production of educational videos. In consideration of the pricing defined above, the student authorises worldwide and for the legal duration of neighbouring rights, the following uses of these videos by the Academy and its partners: reproduction and publication on media made available to the public, linear and non-linear broadcasting by all means including digital networks, incorporation into composite works (databases, interactive multimedia works, educational compilations). Teachers may select the best videos from their classes and make them available to students and the public on the Academy's communication media and tools.

In case of dispute, only the Tribunal de Grande Instance de Nice shall have jurisdiction.

  • Registration with the Académie Internationale d'Été de Nice implies acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions, acknowledgement of its Privacy Policy, the information sheet and the internal regulations of the conservatory and school restaurant.
  • If the student is housed by the Academy, they accept the internal regulations of the residences.
Only the French version of these General Terms and Conditions is legally binding.
