Chamber Music (optional)
Option taught by Agnès Sulem, First Violin of the Rosamonde Quartet, Professor at the CNSMD of Lyon.
The practice of chamber music is fundamental in the musical development of any instrumental student. Beyond simply “playing together,” its teaching aims to deepen the art of listening, enabling each instrumentalist to play their own part in service of the work as a whole.
It establishes the foundations of a musician’s professional practice for building a musical project: polyphonic reading and listening, harmonic listening and intonation work, development of a collective rhythmic project, work on sound homogeneity, stylistic research, and in-depth instrumental technique.
Preparation for competitions and concerts, exploration of specific repertoires or musical languages (Classical style, Romantic repertoire, Second Viennese School, French music, 20th-century classics, contemporary repertoire, etc.).
For any information regarding registration preparation, you may contact Agnès Sulem by email at: registration@aien.fr, and we will forward your message.

Improvisation workshop
Workshop led by Pascal Amoyel
These workshops, open to all disciplines and with no level requirement (from beginner to advanced), aim to reconnect musicians with a spontaneous, vibrant, and embodied practice of their art, drawing on the traditions of idiomatic and non-idiomatic improvisation that were once an integral part of the training of so-called “classical” musicians. Through various approaches — imitation, guided improvisation, listening games, soundpainting, setting texts to music, collective creation — participants learn to free their creativity, refine their listening skills, and enrich their interpretative approach. A workshop presentation will be given by the students on a shared stage with Pascal Amoyel.
