Teacher bio:

Cellist Frédéric Audibert has performed concerts and masterclasses in major European countries as well as in Taiwan, Canada, Russia, Congo, Israel, Polynesia, Japan, Greece, Malaysia, Colombia, and beyond. First Prize winner from the Paris Conservatory (CNSM), he was named a laureate of the Live Music Now foundation by Yehudi Menuhin, who encouraged him to pursue a career as a soloist. He subsequently performed the great concertos of the repertoire (Haydn, Dvořák, Saint-Saëns, Shostakovich, Lalo, Elgar, Honegger, Brahms, Beethoven, Bruch...), and on period instruments in concertos by Vivaldi, Boccherini, Porpora, C.P.E. Bach, and L. Léo, notably at the Grand Théâtre in Naples. Principal cellist of the 'Chambre Philharmonique-Emmanuel Krivine' and the international orchestra of the Dresden Music Festival, he has performed at the Alt Oper Frankfurt, Concertgebouw in Bruges, Salle Pleyel in Paris, Semperoper in Dresden, Berlin Philharmonie, Istanbul Hall, Beethovenhalle in Bonn, Cadogan Hall in London, Munich Staatsoper, Teatro Mayor in Bogota, and more... Frédéric Audibert was honored as a Chevalier in the Order of Cultural Merit by Prince Albert II of Monaco. He plays the cello of Maud Tortelier, an Alessandro Gagliano from 1720.
