Delphine Haidan is an accomplished artist whose career spans both opera and recital. She has appeared in numerous productions at the Paris Opera, including Carmen (Mercédès), Les Contes d’Hoffmann (La Muse and Nicklausse), Don Giovanni (Zerlina), and L’Enfant et les Sortilèges (the Cat – the Squirrel). She has also performed at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Opéra-Comique, Capitole de Toulouse, Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, Opéra National du Rhin, and Grand Théâtre de Tours.
Her international career has taken her to many prestigious festivals and venues: Glyndebourne Festival, Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, Maestranza in Seville, Royal Albert Hall in London, Dresden, Tel Aviv, Lisbon, Barcelona, Ghent, Antwerp, Brussels, Rotterdam, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Moscow, Tokyo, Bogotá, Seattle, and La Scala in Milan.
Recent engagements include Madama Butterfly (Suzuki) in Tours and Avignon, La Vie Parisienne (Métella) in Strasbourg, Les Contes d’Hoffmann (La Muse and Nicklausse) in Zurich, La Damnation de Faust (Marguerite) in Moscow, Ariane et Barbe-Bleue (the Nurse) at Salle Pleyel and Dijon Auditorium, Pelléas et Mélisande (Geneviève) in Tokyo, L’Enfant et les Sortilèges (the Mother, the Teacup, and the Dragonfly) at La Scala in Milan with Marc Minkowski and in Seattle with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra under Ludovic Morlot, as well as Iolanta (Marta) and Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
She has worked with renowned conductors including Michel Plasson, James Conlon, Neeme Järvi, John Nelson, Ivor Bolton, Myung-Whun Chung, Kent Nagano, Jesús López Cobos, Emmanuel Krivine, Vladimir Fedosseiev, Edo de Waart, Christophe Rousset, Emmanuelle Haïm, William Christie, Charles Dutoit, Alain Lombard, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Christian Arming, and Ludovic Morlot.
In concert, she has recently performed Mozart’s Requiem at Philharmonie de Paris, André Caplet’s Le Miroir de Jésus at Notre-Dame de Paris with the Orchestre Philharmonique and Maîtrise de Radio France conducted by Sofi Jeannin, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle at the Corum in Montpellier, L’Enfance du Christ in Nantes and Moscow under Vladimir Fedosseiev. She has also performed Les Nuits d’Été at the Épau Festival, as well as Ravel’s Shéhérazade, Le Poème de l’Amour et de la Mer, and Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde.
She recently appeared in recitals at Musée d’Orsay, performed the Wesendonck Lieder at the Nuits Romantiques du Bourget with the Baden-Baden Orchestra, Mozart’s Requiem at Arsenal de Metz and Les Invalides, and Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder with Ensemble Appassionato under Mathieu Herzog.
Delphine Haidan holds a Master’s degree in Musicology from the Sorbonne, a prize from CNSM Paris, and multiple awards from international competitions. She has been nominated for the Victoires de la Musique and participated in recordings including Lakmé (EMI, Michel Plasson) and Carmen (Decca, Myung-Whun Chung).
Her upcoming projects include Rossini’s Stabat Mater at Salle Gaveau with Orchestre Lamoureux, Mahler’s Third Symphony at Philharmonie de Paris, and La Damnation de Faust in Kiev. She is also Vocal Godmother and Board Member of the Music’O Séniors Association.
She has participated in numerous Master Classes and juries, including Master Class Opéra de Lille, Festival Classique au Vert, and Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire.
