“I am delighted to return to the beautiful city of Nice at the invitation of my sister Marie-Josèphe Jude, President of the Académie Internationale d’Été de Nice.

We are pleased to organize a classical dance course there from July 27 to August 2, 2026, with great figures of the dance world.

This city, Nice, is particularly dear to my heart, as it was there that I began my classical dance studies at the Nice Regional Conservatory, at the ‘Paradiso’ villa, in 1968, with the great master Alexandre Kalioujny, Étoile of the Paris Opera.

I later had the good fortune to join the Ballet of the Paris National Opera, where I danced throughout my career as an Étoile.

This region also allowed me to make an unexpected encounter with the man who would become my mentor and friend, the great Rudolf Nureyev, on the beach of Èze by the sea!

It is therefore a great honor and an immense joy for me to pass on my passion for this art to the young generation of artists in the making during this course at the Académie Internationale d’Été de Nice.”
