Session #3 - From 03 Aug To 09 Aug

Teacher bio:

After being selected by Julian Bream to take part in the Evian Musical Encounters in 1996, Tristan Manoukian won a First Prize in guitar with unanimous decision at the CNR of Marseille in René Bartoli’s class. In 1999, he completed his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with a unanimous First Prize in guitar in Alberto Ponce’s class, as well as obtaining the Higher Education Diploma.

He performs as a soloist in various festivals (notably the Printemps des Arts de Monaco) and has developed his chamber music practice with several ensembles — Ysire, Rosaces, Polychronies and Alchemy — which are invited to perform in France and abroad. The voice–guitar duo Miscellaneous (formed with soprano Céline Barcaroli) gave 80 concerts on tour in France in 2015–16.

Tristan Manoukian also pursues work to promote little-known repertoires through arrangements, supported by the Canadian publisher Les Productions d’Oz. Holder of the Certificat d’Aptitude, after teaching for 17 years at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Nice, he is currently Professor of Guitar at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Lyon. Since September 2017, he has been Professor of Guitar at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he also teaches pedagogy.
